I am a philosopher of mind and cognitive science. Since 2024, I am a researcher (“Chargé de recherches”) at the French CNRS, attached to the Archives Henri Poincaré (Strasbourg). A lot of my research focuses on consciousness and introspection – see here for my publications
What’s new?
My book House of Mirrors. The Illusion of Phenomenal Consciousness is now out in pdf version, open access, and free to download for everyone. The printed copies should be available in August 2026. For more, see this page.
In other news: I am co-editing (with W. Wiese and C. de Weerd) a special issue on artificial consciousness at the diamond open access journal Philosophy and the Mind Sciences. The issue should be out in 2026-2027
